      Finished measurements

Approximately 2 meters wingspan length and 1 meter measured along center from top to point. Measurements taken after blocking.

      Yarn

      345 g NZ Lambs wool (100% New Zealandsk lammeuld - 2-trådet) from G-uld (yardage:  450 m/100 g) - 7 colours.

      Base colours:

A, B, C, D - 64 g of each of the four base colours (white and 3 nuances of natural gray).

      Contrasting colours:

E - (green) - 24 g (You have an extra stripe in this colour)

      F - (dark blue) - 20 g.

      G - (pale blue) - 20 g.

For the edge, you use approximately 25 g.

If you want to really play with colours and maybe use scrap yarn, you will need approximately
20 g per triangle. There are 16 triangles and 80 stripes all in all.

      Needle

4 mm - or size needed to obtain gauge.

      Gauge

      20 st x 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm

      Construction

The shawl consists of 16 triangles. You start by knitting 1 triangle, picking up stitches from that to knit triangle nr. 2 and so on, till you have knitted the top row of combined triangles. From this, you cast on for the next stripe, starting with one triangle, which you fasten to your top stripe as you go along. You continue like this from one triangle to the next, until all 16 are done. Finally you pick up stitches along the edge of the shawl - all the way around - and finish it with an ICord.
