Shades of Autumn Shawl

Measurements

The shawl measures approx. 2 meters (6’63/4”) (width) by 1 meter (3’33/8”) (height measured from the tip).

Yarn

400 g NZ Lammeuld (100% New Zealand lambswool - 2-ply) from G-uld (450 m/100 g).  The design is made with 7 colors.

Base colors:

A, B, C, D - 80 g of each base color (white and 3 shades of natural gray).

Contrast colors:

E - (green) - 30 g (there is an extra section in this color).

F - (dark rosa) - 25 g.

G - (light rosa) - 25 g.

You will need approx. 21 g for the edge. Use color F or G if you have bought 50 g skeins and want to be sure that you have enough yarn.

If you want to play with colors or you want to use scrap yarn, you can design your own. The shawl consists of 16 triangles and 80 sections in total. You will use approx. 5 g per section.

Crochet hook

5 mm (US size: H/8, UK/Canada size 6) - or the hook size required to obtain the gauge below.

Gauge

In moss stitch: 20 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm (21/2” x 21/2”)

Construction

The shawl is made by 16 triangles that are made one by one and joined together along the way. Finally the edge is made.
